TOPMUSIC ACQUIRES PRACTICEHABITS.CO

TopMusicCo is excited to announce the acquisition of PracticeHabits.co to further support the education and training of independent music teachers around the world.

PracticeHabits.co is a membership community, blog and sheet music resource for piano teachers founded by Chris Owenby. The site features a well-respected practice blog, Facebook group, podcast and hundreds of sheet music resources ready for sharing with teachers.

Chris says: “Students really respond to music and resources that inspire them. So that’s what my team and I do. We create helpful resources in the form of original piano music, exercises, practice guides, and much more! PracticeHabits.co is a resource for you. A trusted and reliable resource that you can depend on for all of the above.”

The acquisition comes with a large amount of quality sheet music which TopMusic will share as a part of its hugely-popular TopMusicSheets monthly sheet music resource for members. Teachers may also expect to see Owenby’s music pop up in blog downloads and YouTube videos.

“Chris has put so much effort into building practicehabits.co over the years and I’m delighted that his work will continue to be enjoyed by the world’s piano teachers” said Tim Topham, founder of TopMusic.

“We plan to keep the practicehabits.co website, Facebook Page and Facebook Group operating as usual while we invite any past members of the Practice Habits membership to join us inside TopMusicPro.”

“TopMusic’s programs aim to reduce the isolation instrumental teachers feel, upskill them in their teaching and support them with business training and strategic advice, so acquiring the assets of PracticeHabits was a perfect fit.”

The PracticeHabits acquisition comes on the back of TopMusic’s acquisition of UpbeatPianoTeachers at the end of 2021 and the Piano Bench Magazine back in 2019.

“At TopMusic, we’re really passionate about helping teachers level up their skills so that they can create a better learning experience for their students and contribute to a world where more people experience the joy of learning an instrument and can reflect positively upon their time taking lessons. We can’t wait to integrate the Practice Habits resources into our offering for music teachers” Tim Topham said.
