How to Hunt for the Perfect Piece of Piano Music Online

Finding Piano Music Online Made Simple

Have you ever wanted an easier way to find piano music online?

I’ve just launched an incredible new user-generated database, which makes it so much easier for you to find music that suits your students’ age and level, and also lets you choose what genre of music to look for.

It’s called Repertoire Detective and as the name suggests, it helps you find the repertoire you’re looking for.

So how does it work?

My Repertoire Detective helps you find sheet music and books to suit your students.

A User-Generated Database

Repertoire Detective is a user-generated database, which means teachers around the world add in their favourite repertoire and links for people to easily find it.

It’s going to make finding piano music online so much easier.

You might know of a fantastic piece of pop music for beginner students.

You can add that into the Repertoire Detective for people to then find when they go searching for it.

The power of this resource is hundreds of teachers around the world will all add music they know, creating a massive database of tried and tested sheet music.

Search by Genre and Difficulty

We’ve created this resource so it’s easy to search for piano music online, but also so you can find music you’ve never heard of before.

Say you’ve got a teenage student who is a beginner and wants to learn some pop music.

By ticking the right categories, you can find a selection of sheet music that matches that criteria.

Sort your searches by Categories, Good For and Levels to find the music that suits your student.

As more and more people enter their favourite piano music online, each Category will fill up with a wonderful database of sheet music.

For the Levels, we’ve decided to include name levels, such as Advanced and Beginner, as well an approximate exam level, to help people across the world understand.

Remember though, these are all approximate and difficulty might differ to your preferred exam syllabus.

This resource is about everyone’s perspective, and let’s teachers explore music they’ve never heard of before.

It’s not just about my favourite music and my thoughts.

This resource shows the true power of a supportive and driven online piano teaching community.

And then to the right, is where you can actually get access to the music.

Get Music Sheet will give you a link to where you can purchase/download the music.

Watch/Listen will take you to where you can, as you’ve probably guessed, watch or listen to this piece of music, if you aren’t familiar with it.
